Ancient Menace – Poem

The dimly lit cave failed to illuminate the walls around it – only the white bones showing clearly the gaping jaw and teeth of the monstrous beast. Frozen in time.

Images of blazing fire spewing from its mouth entered my mind, for what else could it be but a dragon? Horns sticking out of its skull, and eyes cold and dead, as they would be in life.

Some of the skin still stuck to the beast’s jaws, half decomposed and menacing. Smaller bones lay scattered around it; the remains of humans piling onto each other. Its meal fully digested, and terrifying, even in death.

No Regrets – Poem

Darkness enveloped us

Particles stirred by our presence,

Parching our throats

We wanted to turn back

But it was too late

For the second we descended into this nightmare

There was no place to look but forward

No regrets

Only the future

#3 Fate’s Hand – Poem

Part 3 (Finale)

I am guided by… something

An invisible hand that ushers me forward

And when I listen to its advice

I see happiness ahead

But when I don’t

When I choose a path astray

Happiness is no longer with me

Hence I never do or say what is truly on my mind

For the invisible hand is relentless

And generous at the same time

It will not be toyed with

Content in guiding inconspicuously

Invisibly

Such is the nature of the unexplained

Paths Uncertain – Poem

Striving for your betterment

Without a goal in mind

Is that a sane thing to do?

To live by the moment

And not lookahead

Will my life come through?

*

What compels such a man?

When there is nothing over the horizon,

Only the next step after the other?

A true instinctual type,

Who makes no decisions on his own

And instead follows a path given to him

As if it was destined to be

*

I concede to the universe

And I accept whatever may come with a smile on my face

Such is the way of the universe

Offer it a smile and the universe smiles back.

You – Poem

Darkness surrounds you

The silence and emptiness engulfs you

Nobody can talk to you

Nobody can touch you

And you don’t mind

For here, nothing can reach you

Nothing can do you harm

You go deeper

Until your problems go away

The Rightful People – Poem

A people with no roots

No land to claim as their own

Vanquished from their place of origin

They journeyed through the generations

Alway on the move

Only through wits have they retained their identity,

Their culture,

And their spirit

*

Through hardships they had become undone

No longer tied to the rational

Hence they can unleash their wrath upon everything

For life is no longer holy in the eyes of the desperate

And through the ashes they will rise as the victor

Remembered by noone
